Blabbermouth.net shares Max Cavalera interview on upcoming record

Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, Sepultura) spoke in a recent interview on “The Classic Metal Show”about their upcoming record, tentatively to be released this summer. The album was tracked and produced by Grammy-winner Josh Wilbur at Orange County’s Hybrid Studios in January 2018 and will be their first release since 2015’s “Archangel”.

“The new Soulfly, I’ve kind of been calling it ‘tribal thrash,’ which I think is pretty exciting,” Cavalera said in the interview, “I think it’s going in the right direction, man. It was produced by Josh Wilbur, who did ‘Killer Be Killed’. He’s a big fan and he’s a great producer – he’s done some amazing records, like Lamb of God and Gojira and Hatebreed and Trivium. So he’s a killer producer, and we had a great studio.”

Soulfly is in the middle of their US tour that is co-headlined with Nile. Tour dates and shows information can be found at Soulfly.com, and more excerpts from Max’s Interview regarding the upcoming new album can be found here.
