Southern California rock group Hoity Toity wins grand prize
Orange County multimedia production facility, Hybrid Studios, held its second annual recording sweepstakes with ReverbNation for the Summer of 2016. The winner was announced in late June from a pool of several thousand applicants, and Yucaipa’s all-girl pop rock band, Hoity Toity, took home the grand-prize recording package. The girls wasted little time in getting in studio, recording their new EP at Hybrid in early July in anticipation of Warped Tour this summer.
Hybrid Studios engineer Josh Brooks led production with input from the band’s general manager, Brad Caselden. Four tracks are slated for release at the Vans Warped Toured 2016, with a fifth single to be released at a later date. This is the second ReverbNation sweepstakes held by Hybrid Studios, and the studio intends to run the promotion again, so stay tuned for promotion announcements.
