Hybrid Studios Receives Prevention Award

Orange County multimedia production facility Hybrid Studios was honored to receive an Outstanding Supporter of Prevention Award from the Irvine Prevention Coalition. The award was presented by Steve Knollmiller, Program Coordinator for the City of Irvine’s High School Youth Action Team, and was accepted on behalf of the studio by Hybrid Manager, Mike Miller, for studio sponsorship of local youth battle-of-the-band competitions and support for the Creekside Leadership Academy.

“We believe it’s the responsibility of local businesses to support local schools and youth education programs,” said Hybrid Studios’ Co-owner, Patrick Akhamlich. “Irvine’s High School Youth Action Team and the Irvine Prevention Coalition do amazing work in the community and surrounding areas, and we’re honored to work alongside them in any capacity.”

Hybrid Studios began working with Knollmiller and City of Irvine Community Services in 2015 by providing live sound and lighting for their local high school battle-of-the-band competitions, as well as guided facility tours and Q&A sessions for students through the Creekside Leadership Academy. The studio hopes to work closely with the City of Irvine for many years to come, and strive to promote a culture of community outreach throughout all of Orange County.
